BUTLER TOWNSHIP
Butler Township is one of eighteen townships in Columbiana County, Ohio. The township is located in the northwestern part of the county and consists of 33.0 square miles and maintains 56.206 miles of chip and seal and asphalt roads. The township was organized in 1806 and diminished by the formation of Perry Township in 1832 losing Section 1, 2, 11 and 12. The 2010 census found 3,614 people reside in Butler Township. No municipalities are located in Butler Township, although the unicorporated communities of Damascus and Winona lie in the township. the northwestern part of the county. Butler Township is proud of its rural setting and is mainly and agriculture township.
